A pastel sketch on paper
The stunning view from the upper floor cafe terrace at Poole Museum.
Brownsea Island is on the horizon, and the cranes are loading and unloading a ship in the working docks opposite the Quay.
Anthony Caro's 'Sea Music' sculpture and 'Corkers' Bar & Restaurant, are in the foreground.
Sadly, since drawing this, Corkers has been replaced by a new building.
I spent several years working here as my student job and I have many happy memories from my time there.
