An oil painting of the beautiful wildlife reserve in Holes Bay, Poole Harbour
Inspiration: A second view across Holes Bay from nearby Upton Country Park. Painted at the same time as 'Doughty's Island' using the same palette.This view is of the Salt Marshes with the edge of Poole Harbour in the distance. I was taken by the gathering of migrating birds in the middle distance - including a huge heron which may yet make it into a following composition! A beautiful serene spot.
