Oil on cotton canvas MDF panel
30 x 30 cms NFS
Painted from a mobile phone photo taken in a local shop last year.
Inspiration: I was running an errand when the sight of this stunning display of flowers literally stopped me in my tracks. I adored the contrast of the vibrant flowers and the shiny metal buckets and I had to stop and capture a reference photograph for a future painting there and then!
This was the very first painting I painted during #stayhomesavelives. It marked a return to painting in oils using brushes and I was instantly smitten.
I was really happy, and grateful, that it was selected for POL (The Artist & Leisure Painter Magazines' Open Art Competition 2020 in the professional artist category).
