30 x 30 cms oil framed painting on cotton canvas panel
Painted in impasto oil paint using a painting knife
Inspiration: The original reference photograph for this painting is one of two supplied by my childhood friend Karen T during a coffee-time school friends' reunion.
I was telling her about my pollinator series, and she instantly showed me the stunning photographs she had taken close to her home in Scotland. I was completely smitten by this gorgeous photograph of a honey bee amongst the blossom and couldn't wait to start painting it.
Dorset Artist - inspired by nature and the beautiful wildflowers & coast of my home county
